On tap at BTBF. Pours with a near black hued body with a small tan head. Aromas are of chocolate, floral, vanilla and peppery alcohol. Bready, dark fruits and plums. Quite smooth. Flavors are of licorice, bready, floral and spicy hop, chocolate and brown sugar. Dry for what it is. Creamy mouthfeel, well hidden alcohol, medium bodied.

Dark brown pour with nice lacing. Smells of spicy fruit and molasses with a similar taste. Creamy mouthfeel. Not bad but wouldn't get again

Sample at Hay Merchant in Houston. The beer pours brownish-black with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt and chocolate in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of roasty coffee, chocolate malt and some herbal hops in the background. The finish is mildly bitter with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Not bad but for some reason sounds better on paper. The grapefruit hop bitterness clashed with the coffee malt bitterness or something.

Decent amount of bitters, malty and a tad spicier than I anticipated. Mine was served ice cold in a pint glass so I took about 30 minutes to sip it down while it warmed. First experience with the brewery and I would try their other offerings if I get the chance,

Dark black head and light brown head. Smells of coffee and chocolate dark malt. This is a very smooth dark malty beer with a light hop bitterness that does not linger. Over all the abv is hidden quite well and a very drinkable beer.

Draft. The aroma is of dark malt with some hops. The appearance is black with a some tan suds. The taste starts of yeast thats tastes like dark fruit and rolls into the dark malt. Finishes with some hops. Palate is dry and sweet fruit. Overall, a pretty good stout. Will buy if I see it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
