3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at DEBC. Pours a dark black color with a tan ring of head. Aroma is alcohol, dark chocolate and sweet notes. Flavor is grapes, sharp dark malts, bitter notes with a super sweet flavor. A little much I think safari as the residual sweetness.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had the version that is aged with rum soaked oak chips at WOB’s.
Nose - Is a medium caramel with a light vanilla and red fruits in the background. Taste - medium (to just below) viscosity with a nice chocolate combined with grape and red berries (all verging on being underripe). A touch of bitterness on the finish but overall it’s very clean with some oak and whisp of caramel. There’s some overripe apples very late on the finish (almost fermented). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours an oily, swampy, opaque black with almost no head -- what there is is fine grained and cinnamon-colored. Nose is vanilla, mocha, fruitcake, anejo rum, baking spices, and chocolate-covered dried cherries. Rich and sweet, with more of a chocolate and dried fruit punch on the front of the tongue; the baked-good theme continues with elements of pumpernickel bread and fruitcake (and I mean good fruitcake, not that crap Aunt Myrna sends you every year). Finish is long and smooth with licorice and espresso coming out to play; mouthfeel is very round. Quite good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Initially has lots of chocolate. Some spice and dark tart fruit came out as it warmed. Medium or maybe a hair on the thin side for an imperial stout.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fresh bottle from spec’s. This listed at 11%. Does not work for the style. The texture of the mouthfeel, the dryness, balance of chocolate, hops, malt. Whole package not in synch or drinkable.
