1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Treebs (733) - , Illinois, USA - NOV 4, 2012Thanks to cfh64 (Brad) for the extra! 12 oz. bottle served in a Deschutes snifter.
A: Pours a semi-translucent dark brown color with a thin tan head forming on the pour. Was expecting a little darker for a Baltic porter.
S: Uh oh. Highly fruity and tangy. Some light vinegar with a touch of roasted malts. Smells like infection to me.
T: Definitely infected. Dried cherry pits, tangy vinegar, and a little plastic. There is no discernible Baltic Porter flavors in this one.
M: Super thin with a high carbonation level.
O: The infection ravaged this beer. It seemed so inviting and I seem to be the first to report any infection here on BA. Hopefully this is an isolated for this newer brewery.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dzimm27 (133) - - FEB 20, 2013
Light, sweet, coffee/chocolate aroma, not too powerful. Dark brown pour, looks pitch black in a wide tulip glass. Low carbonation. Taste is of bitter coffee with chocolate afternotes. Relatively smooth though. Alternating sips I don’t pick up the bitter but pick up dark roast. Odd. Rather flavorful compared to other similar beers I have had. I like this, even though it is not a style I typically like
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle:   Super deep brown, moderate frothy light beige head, spotty lacing.   Sweet roasted malt nose, seems like a milk stout.   A bit more robust on the tongue, almost an acrid roastiness, minor sweetness, a bit of cocoa and hops.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Backside shows some youthfull porterness, a little green.   Some dark chocolate, pith, and green hops.   Seems like a mild to moderate Baltic Porter.   Overall decent, clean, but without the heavy dark pitted fruit or roasted characters I expect for the style.   Still enjoyable tho!
2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 umich03jm (912) - Allen Park, Michigan, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle from trade with Crajun. Pours dark brown in color with a nice head that fades normally. Aromas are cocoa, wood, light berries, and a light nuttiness. Taste is somewhat hard to describe. Cocoa taste is prominant but there seems to be some off-flavors here. It’s a little sour and dry. A tad thin and watery too. This is probably an infected bottle. I will re-rate if I get another.
