COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s no secret, at DEBC, we’re fond of hops. Citrusy, piney, floral, and fruity hops are at least a third of this whole adventure. Hops may be the current ruler of the craft beer scene, and we, for one, welcome our resinous, spicy, bitter overlords. We’ve taken the IPA category to its Event Horizon, and pulled back just enough to see the edge. Get the big picture, it’s hoppy! Hops - Summit, Columbus, Apollo, Liberty, and more! Malts - Pale ale, Rye, Vienna, Honey Yeast - English Ale Other - Raw cane sugar

From can. Nose and appearance are near perfect. Fruit and grass and a slightly cloudy copper pour. Suspiciously smooth beginning--almost like juice, then turning crisp and bitter at the end. Solid.

Can @ home. Clear amber pour, full white - finely bubbled - head. Taste ripe summer fruits; blackberry, juniper, herbs, rosemary. Rye weighing in with sweet-sour hints. A bit stewed, but nice. Especially with venison or game.

I had really high hopes for this being such a big fan of their IPA, but this fell short several ways for me. I like rye, but this...something’s off.

12 oz can crushed with my supervisor. Pours a hazy orange with a good white head and great lacing. Oh, if you don’t know what diacetyl smells like, get a load of this one. Could smell it from the can before I even poured it out. Can get some hop presence, but mostly just butter. Not undrinkable, but damn.

Pours an orange color. Notes of orange citrus, brown sugar, spicy rye, earth, and cereal grains. Hops are pretty well balanced.

Pretty big across the board...big bodied and slightly sticky. Ample malt, but bitter enough to satisfy, while also being fruity and spicy/earthy at the same time. Good brew.

12 oz. can. Pours an opaque reddish orange with a small eggshell colored head. Aroma of citrus, pine, resin and floral notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, with strong citrus peel and pine bitterness. Some booziness and sweet malt notes. Some booze in the finish. Pretty nice strong ale/DIPA.

On tap at deep ellum. I personally couldn’t tell much of a difference from the other IPA. Typical IPA aroma and flavor. Good beer.

Can from roxtersoxter - thanks! Cloudy orange, ring of foam. Big grapefruit aroma, plus some brown sugar or molasses. Smooth malt flavors at first, brown sugar, mostly, then grapefruit hops. Unfortunately starts to go south as it warms, with butter aromas and flavors emerging.

Can, thanks, Matt. Pours orange, with a white head. Aroma is pine and sugar. Flavor is pine, citrus, and alcohol. Medium to light body.
