Hop Seeker #1 is the first installment of our quarterly IPA series, a 100% wet hop ale. We used fresh cut Centennial hops in the initial boil and will use fresh cut Equinox hops in the dry hop! Equinox is a newer variety that has a pronounced aroma profile with citrus, tropical fruit, floral and herbal characteristics, including lemon, lime and papaya. By using such an unholy amount of wet hops in copious late additions, we coaxed aromas of citrus, melon and resin from the green beasties. Wet hops all the way through!

Can. Semi hazy Amber orange color. Tall white head. Hoppy leafy aroma. Some fresh notes but not as much as expecting. Just checked and the can was labeled 8-7-16. 2 months old so probably lost most of it. This can was sitting on the Total Wine shelves, with a store label marked 10/4/16. That sucks. Flavor is dull. Not bright hoppy flavor but kind of a dried leaf note. Bitter finish. No knock on the brewery, distributors suck. I will re-rate again fresh at the taproom. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned at SBWF. Hazy brnze colour, minimal coarse head. Lychee and bread up front. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of caramel and fudge, slight notes of grapefruit. Mid bitter finish.

Way to much foam to drink from can.. when poured into glass get one inch of beer and 11 inches of foam.. takes 10 mins to get foam to settle down enough to drink..was drinkable but to much time is needed to get it settled down to drink .. this beer should be recalled wasted 9 bucks

Great aroma, nice and hoppy on the front end, but this finish is a little dull but clean. Good solid beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear light amber and copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, seven centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pure resinous and floral hops with some light citrus, a touch of sugar and some pine as well - nice and fragrant. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent hop flavour at first that dies relatively quickly and shows some resin, white grapes, pine and mostly floral elements and almost no malt at all. Aftertaste shows some grain, pine, earth, pineapple and kick of grass at the tail end. Overall, a pretty mellow beer that shows a lot of nice aromas, but develops nothing in the flavour at all near the end - interesting to try, but not really worth trying, unless you like fresh hopped APA style beers with no depth nor complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$2,62 sampled at home in Washington on 23-November-2015.

Can. Big pillow off antique white head. Has a slight haze. Is golden in color. The smell is fruit, resin, pine, slight styrofoam, orange, decent but not spectacular. The taste is similar to the smell with a medium bitterness and more pine notes. I expected more and better.

A can with Erica and Patty after the 8 mile hike in Lake Houston Wilderness park. Real nice piney and citrus fresh hop aroma. Flavor almost as good, but weaker. Some malt in there. Refreshing!
