ansermadide (1509) - Kyle, Texas, USA - OCT 2, 2012
This beer has a bold, deep amber/brown hued color with a dense, but thin, off-white head. Its aroma is thick and bold with hops, grain, and sweetness prevailing in a concentrated way with an almost Pacific style earthiness. It’s a little herbal, and almost spicy, in the mouth – a characteristic that presents itself mostly in the finish, but joins with the hop presence in the flavor to make this seem a little off-centered from your every day Strong Ale or double IPA. This is a fairly resinous beer. Dense and full in the belly, that’s for sure. Overall, though, it’s fairly mellow for a strong ale, well yet subtly-flavored and hides its alcohol well

Foggy amber with an off-white tint from all the hop resin. The.aroma is floral and resinous. The backbone is heavily malted. There’s a light syrup texture to the palate. The finish is decisively bitter. Its a little spicy and has a papery bite. Probably strong but you wouldn’t know it.

Smells like sweet malts, hints of caramel and marzipan and bit of rotten fruit. Tastes pretty similar but with more fruit and distinguishable foresty hoppiness.

slimchill (1044) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Draught. Nose is soapy and floral with a sweet malt note. Clear light reddish brown with a thin head. Sweet with a clean hoppyness and lots of fruit notes. Easy drinking. Pine, lemon, peach. Good body. Finishes slightly astringnet.

Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - SEP 16, 2012
On tap @ Jack Mac’s Ruddy amber brew with a bit of sticky white head and lacing. Nose of caramel, citrus, and resiny hops. Slightly bitter up front with toffee, caramel and less of a hop presence than I expected.

Deep amber pour with a cream head. Nose is fresh hops, rich caramel, sticky, and dank. Very smooth on the palate, dough, caramel, gritty hops, and a nice finish.

Tejas (866) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 13, 2012
Draught > Common Table. Harsh w/ an odd flavor and not much hop aroma nor flavor. Seems to be big for the sake of being big and that’s all. I don’t really have much else to say other than "one and done". Oh, and it does look good but that’s about it. These guys seem to be cranking out new beers all the time. I wonder if they shouldn’t stick to quality over quantity?

Mora2000 (5527) - McKinney, Texas, USA - SEP 11, 2012
On tap at The Common Table during the launch party. The beer pours a reddish-brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is full of toffee and alcohol, with a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is more of the same. I get some nice toffee and caramel notes, as well as some butter, orange and grass. Overall, the fresh hops are not as prevalent as I hoped they would be. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(draught) caramel colored, creamy dark tan head. Nose of caramel, cream, honey, hops are quite muted honestly. Taste of light hop acids, honey, biscuit, cream. Medium to thick body, light hop linger.
