Our year round ode to the Pacific Northwest hop. At DEBC, we like hops, but we like American hops most of all. Here we use some of our absolute favorites. However, they might not be used like you may expect, by using varieties with high alpha acid contents (which means more potential for bitterness) and using them in ways to emphasize the flavor and aroma we can render a rather bitter ale with over the top tropical fruit, citrus, pine, floral, and more hop derived aroma and flavor. Style: American-style India Pale Ale Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Chinook, Palisade, and Summit Malts: Pale Ale, Vienna, Honey, and White Wheat Yeast: English Ale

This is a great IPA in a can! Partly cloudy with a chance of cat piss! Bitterness is just right and well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper/medium amber, thick but thin head. Nose is malt & copious hops with a floral hint. Bitter. Middle is solid hops backed by deep malt. The finish is bitter, but balanced. Solid beer.

Consumed dozens of pints of this, shocked i havent rated it. Golden pour with white head and nice retention. Nose is hugely floral and perfumey. Nice grain backbone. Fl is pine, floral, perfume, lightly grassy, straw, some cereal and a hint of cereal. Palate is lively carbonation, nice bitter finish.

I enjoyed this for the first time on draft at Twisted Root in The Shops at Legacy last weekend. This brew is a West Coast styled IPA and has quickly become one of my favorite IPAs. It has a really nice balance between the hops, which are definitely present...for those hopheads, and the malt backbone. My recommendation to all is: when you see this at your favorite Watering Hole don't hesitate to give it a try; you won't be disappointed! ---Rated by mcesooner via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chilled bottle from Josh poured into a sampler glass, blind side-by-side with heady topper and Solitary and Solitude 6. Deep golden/light amber with very little head, and low carbonation. Taste is nicer herbal hops and some grass. My least favorite of the three, but still pretty good.

Hazy dark yellow with small off white foam head. Aroma is small, little bitter. Unlike the taste which is very hoppy indeed. Aftertaste is long lasting bitterness. (Houston 201303) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Henry’s Tavern at the Shops at Legacy in Plano, Tx. Copper color with whitish head. Wonderful aroma’s and flavors of hop blends. Balanced hop blends with the malts but not overbitttering makes it wonderful on the palate. Overall on of the better IPA’s that I’ve enjoyed.

Poured from a 12 ounce can thanks to errl. Pours a translucent copper with a white cap of foam. Great retention. Aroma is loads of citrus and grassy notes. Really like that. The taste isn’t as abundant with citrus as the aroma indicated. More of a grassy sweet bitterness. Pretty well balances and clean. Nice IPA overall.

Can from Errl. Copper color with a good thick off-white head. Pine and tropical fruity aroma with some biscuity malt and straw. This is a very tasty IPA. Lightly toasted malt underneath grapefruit, pineapple, grass, and sticky pine flavors. The finish is dry and bitter. Just a good all around IPA.

12oz can. Looks amber. Aroma strong of citrusy hops, fruits, a little piney and floral notes, and some sweet, light malts. Flavor has a lot of hops and a good amount of malts to balance it. Average texture. A pretty good IPA.
