Our year round ode to the Pacific Northwest hop. At DEBC, we like hops, but we like American hops most of all. Here we use some of our absolute favorites. However, they might not be used like you may expect, by using varieties with high alpha acid contents (which means more potential for bitterness) and using them in ways to emphasize the flavor and aroma we can render a rather bitter ale with over the top tropical fruit, citrus, pine, floral, and more hop derived aroma and flavor. Style: American-style India Pale Ale Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Chinook, Palisade, and Summit Malts: Pale Ale, Vienna, Honey, and White Wheat Yeast: English Ale

On tap at Henry’s Tavern at the Shops at Legacy in Plano, Tx. Copper color with whitish head. Wonderful aroma’s and flavors of hop blends. Balanced hop blends with the malts but not overbitttering makes it wonderful on the palate. Overall on of the better IPA’s that I’ve enjoyed.

Poured from a 12 ounce can thanks to errl. Pours a translucent copper with a white cap of foam. Great retention. Aroma is loads of citrus and grassy notes. Really like that. The taste isn’t as abundant with citrus as the aroma indicated. More of a grassy sweet bitterness. Pretty well balances and clean. Nice IPA overall.

Can from Errl. Copper color with a good thick off-white head. Pine and tropical fruity aroma with some biscuity malt and straw. This is a very tasty IPA. Lightly toasted malt underneath grapefruit, pineapple, grass, and sticky pine flavors. The finish is dry and bitter. Just a good all around IPA.

12oz can. Looks amber. Aroma strong of citrusy hops, fruits, a little piney and floral notes, and some sweet, light malts. Flavor has a lot of hops and a good amount of malts to balance it. Average texture. A pretty good IPA.

Pours cloudy light amber with small off white head out of can. Hoppy smell like all IPA's and typical hoppy taste. Nothing special about this beer but still a good IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This one poured a darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of citrusy and grassy hops, and some caramel. Flavor was similar, fairly refreshing hops, but not very outstanding or forward. Decent.

Shaker pint draft at the Flying Saucer in Addison, Texas. The pour is a slight hazed copper orange brown, with a small off white head. The aroma is orange citrus, dank, and a nice foundation of toasted malt. The taste is super fresh vibrant resin dank citrus hops, some dry floral, and all of the hop flavors are balanced with a great toasted malt, which also shows some caramel notes as it warms. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, and a dry lightly mineral finish. Really nice, this is very much how I like my IPAs.

Can. Pours a vibrant orange with fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus hops. Flavor matches aroma.but has a nice malt backbone. Very light and citrusy.

Sample at Petrol Station in Houston. The beer pours a cloudy dark copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Hops, citrus and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
