Good, well balanced IPA. Nice piney and floral aroma. Nice amber color with a frothy head. Hops hit you up front but not in an overpowering way. The piney spruce essence continues on through each sip. Very easy to drink. Glad to see they are bottling this now.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 draft at BJ’s of all places. Damn; I liked an ipa. hard to tell aroma in bar - slight citrus. very easy drinking beer - well balanced; hops are there not bitter and well balanced - will try again. 03/2/13 tried again from can. aroma is quite nice; topical fruit, maybe pine. it was uneven at times; sometimes it was just a hop bomb and sometimes it was well balanced - grapefruit flavor with a strong hop end. nice to know there is a good local ipa if I need one!

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear orange with a small white head. Not much carbonation. Strong grapefruit aroma from the hops. Typical American IPA with over the top hop bitterness which really detracts from the real style. (Not sure why so many hop varieties need to be used) Lingering sticky finish.

Cloudy apricot color. Pure white head that leaves rings of lace. Mellow citrus aroma. Mild citrus flavor with a hint of sweetness, bitterness, and carbonation. Some pulpy orange and grapefruit notes. Just a little kick at the end. Very cool, sessionable and tasty. 2 thumbs up Deep Ellum.

A cloudy copper ale. Small white head. Musty sweet hop resin aroma. The flavor is even better. Its perfectly drinkable. It has a 60/40 hop to malt balance in the taste which fills the palate with pleasure. The aftertaste OS bittersweet and the finish on the dry side. A toto if you can find it.

Draught at Black Sheep Lodge, Austin, Oct. 20. Pours a slightly hazy copper-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma, lots of citrusy and resiny hops, along with some fruit and caramel malt. Resiny hop flavour, a touch burnt, along with fruit and a hint of alcohol. Dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied. A very good IPA.
