Our year round ode to the Pacific Northwest hop. At DEBC, we like hops, but we like American hops most of all. Here we use some of our absolute favorites. However, they might not be used like you may expect, by using varieties with high alpha acid contents (which means more potential for bitterness) and using them in ways to emphasize the flavor and aroma we can render a rather bitter ale with over the top tropical fruit, citrus, pine, floral, and more hop derived aroma and flavor. Style: American-style India Pale Ale Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Chinook, Palisade, and Summit Malts: Pale Ale, Vienna, Honey, and White Wheat Yeast: English Ale

Orange copper pour. Mild haziness. Medium whit head and lots of lacing. Piney floral hop aroma. Flavor is very similar. Lots of citra and chinook hop presence. A little spice. Bitter and dry finish. ---Rated via iPhone

Deep burnt orange in color... Aroma of caramel, crystal malt, sticky citrus hops... Flavor is overly malty, sweet crystal malts dominate, some mild citrus hop notes... Hops may have faded/gone bad since the can is pretty old... Not a fan ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice thick and foamy head The nose is citrusy and floral at the same time. Slightly tingly on the nose. The taste is crisp and flavorful but lighter than expected. Bitter flavor follows the nose but with a biscuit flavor. It is full but crisp with a light Carbonation. This is a very sold easy drinking IPA from the Dallas Area.

Can in Dallas airport fuck yeah. Nice citrusy nose with hints of dank as well as toast and some iced tea. Hazy Amber nice head lace. Flavors are toasty with soft sweetness a touch of iced tea good citrus and dank. Smooth balanced definitely reminiscent of a "PNW" IPA. Happy to have tried a 94th percentile beer at the airport.

Draft at ozonas grill and bar in Texas. Didn’t impress me much but wasn’t bad. Wished for just a little more hoppynes since it is an ipa and more foam. OK with food tho because of the mildness of it, should go with almost any food. Skål!

Stuck in the airport. After everything in San Diego this is obvious Texas beer. Balanced malty. Lemon and ends with a hop bite. Not bad. But not west coast. Creamy with some corn grain notes. Nose citrus lemon. Thick head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Ginger Man Austin TX. Can you go wrong with an IPA in Austin? I don’t think so. Clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, a little earth. Taste is bitter citrusy hops, not much malt. Still good, I’m not afraid of a little hops.

Hazy and very crisp copper body with an amber glow and a thick three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of grass, citrus, resin and some light pine - notes of hop pellets as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Nice sweet citrus and grassy hoppiness with some grapefruit, hay and a large herbal element, all with some smooth malt that shows well. Aftertaste shows a little grass, a lot of sweetness, some hay, light cereal malt and a smooth fruit sweetness - noticeable pear and apple flavours - nice! Overall, a good IPA with a nice balance of malt and some smooth fruity and grassy flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$2,62 sampled at home in Washington on 30-April-2016 when it was pretty noticeable that the can was about to explode!
