On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest. The beer pours a golden color with a large white head. The aroma is fairly spicy with some nice rye and biscuit malt notes. The flavor is also very enjoyable. There is quite a bit of rye and some orange citrus, as well as some lighter pilsner malts and additional spice notes. Very easy to drink, with a light mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Sampled at Schlafly 2012 Repeal Fest.... multiple times. A standout of the fest for me. Pours pale hazy yellow with a small white head. the aroma has pils malt, light spicy hops and some spicy rye. Light crisp body with sharpish carbonation. The flavor starts with pils malt that is clean as you would expect, but then the rye comes in an really dries the beer out. It adds its bit of spice along with the hops that have spicy, grassy and sulfur traits. Very dry finish. Really liked this one a lot.

Draft sample at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition Festival, 2012. Pours a clear golden color with just a little bit of reddish coloring and a finger of eggshell white head. Thanks for the big pour, Keir. Spicy aroma, with rye, pepper, and herbs, along with dry grains, sugar, and sweet and pale malts. Flavor of rye, pale and sweet malts, crackers, spicy hops, and grass. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Really nice.

On tap @ Anvil Pub. Dull golden brew with lots of white head. Aromas of noble hops, spicy rye, and sweet grains. Flavor is earthy, herbal, and spicy with a smooth finish. Not usually a fan of Pilseners but this is great.

Tap at the brewery. Gold pour with a thick white head. Nose is spiced hops, malts, light rye, and crisp. Excellent on the palate, great hop flavor with a hint of earth, and a smooth finish.

Rich golden color with a spicy hop nose and a frothy head. Weird flavor of rye malt that fights with a lighter body. Its a foamy beer and moderately enjoyable.

(draught) clear gold with creamy white head and nice lacing. Nose of cilantro, spicy rye, light honey, and coriander. Taste of fresh grain, rye, herbal and a bit buttery. Medium body that’s bit oily. Nice for the style.

Poured clear sunset orange with very little head, but great lace. Clean nose. Very, very spicy from the rye. Yummy.
