UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 On tap at both Common Table at the launch party and at Barcadia in Dallas. Nice golden color, not much head or lacing. Complex taste with very notable fruitiness. Chardonnay barrel adds an interesting level of flavor. Great overall beer especially if you prefer Belgians. Tried this again some time later and tasted very differently. Lowering the overall rating for lack of consistency, even though initial tasting was great.

Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass was a clear gold with thick white foam. Nose if fruit with something maybe like pears. Medium in body. Flavor fruity and the grapes show up. gian yeast and pear aromas. Golden and clear color with a nice white head. Good soft and smooth palate with average carbonation. Fruity esters were really pronounced on this one with some spice on the back end. The white wine grape juice stood out. Also a little tart at times. Hops presence was minimal. Good stuff.

Beer pours cloudy honey color with a nicely retained off white head. Aromas hit the right notes for a Belgian strong, nice, yeasty, earthy notes with some light caramel and herbs. I not really getting the barrel aging in the nose. Taste is quite tasty. Nice wet wood sensation. This is an excellent beer. Kudos to Deep Ellum Brewing. Prost!!!

Enjoyed at BTBF 2015. Pours a cloudy orange brown color. Honey, wood, Oak and yeast on the nose. Almost wheat. Dry honey flavor that is sweet and grainy.

Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Spices, herbs, and some grapes on the nose from the must; follows onto the palate. The booze is pretty well hidden in this one. Pretty solid brew.
