Deep River Brewing Company’s Riverbank Rye-It IPA is a amber pale ale, with subtle hints of rye and citrus. The spicy notes imparted by the rye thread together nicely with the citrusy aromas of Columbus hops.

Draft. Hard to execute on a hoppy aroma amber with rye. Not sure you can actually. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at BurgerFi, Raleigh, NC. Dark orange pour with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of ripe banana and light floral hops. The taste is caramel and bubblegum, mostly, with a touch of roses and grass. Not what I was expecting (and certainly not an IPA) but a decent beer.

Pint at Tribeca Tavern Cary. Ok aroma. Not much going on really. Light orange and cereal. Brownish orange color. Good head, little to no lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body. Slivk creamy mouthfeel, bitter sweet finish its ok. Nothing I’m getting exvited about. Mild aroma. Flavor tad more interesting

Soft pretty clean orange copper pour with a thin bubbly sandstone tan head. Bready nose. Some macintosh apple flesh. A touch of spicy/sweet malt. Hint of herbal/vegetal hops. DMS? Very spicy in the flavor. Almost astringent. Interesting, kind of all over the place.

Growler. Pours a clear brown color with no head on it. Nose has a strong rye element with a deep citrusy bitterness in there. Taste has the citrusy sour in there, but that dominates without being what I’d expect from an APA or IPA.
