2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at 2011 Deeside Beer Festival. It pours hazy straw yellow, with a very thin bubbly white head and soft carbonation. The nose is hay, grass, pine and white bread. The taste is hay, tangy lemon, lime, orange zest and soap. It is very light, perhaps too watery in the mouth. It is easy to drink, but this is definitely not my favourite style.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thin head with a hazy straw colour appearance. Crisp with a nice hoppy after taste. More a mild IPA than a steam beer though. Refreshing though and worth a try.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle at home from Aldi supermarket, Glasgow (£1.59):
This one was pretty much as I’ve come to expect from most beers I usually pick up at Aldi supermarket, average in almost every way & definitely not a memorable beer that I’d be likely to pick up again. There was some nice sweetness dotted about the place & an okay malt base but sadly nothing stood out for me with this one & it’s definitely not one to seek out I’m afraid.

Bottle at the Adelphi Kitchen. Soft, round, quite drinkable, but some green apples that did not appeal.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Many thanks to Sean for this bottle. The beers tarts fresh with hints of grain. Not too much aroma, hints of sweetish wheat. Hints of sourness in the background, not too special.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aberdeen, Dark Bottle. Pours golden, minimal cloudiness. No bubbles. Scent is as standard scottish IPA, on the mild side. Taste mild but inviting. Palette starts harsh if too cold. Worth a try.
