Cask; Status uncertain. Also available bottled.
Lager Ale Fusion
Light, crisp and refreshing with clean herbal and floral flavours. The History - Steam beer, associated with California came from fermenting lager yeast and malt at a much higher temperature than normal. Dating back to as early as the Gold Rush, this was generally out of necessity due to lack of available ice and cold water.

Cask at 2011 Deeside Beer Festival. It pours hazy straw yellow, with a very thin bubbly white head and soft carbonation. The nose is hay, grass, pine and white bread. The taste is hay, tangy lemon, lime, orange zest and soap. It is very light, perhaps too watery in the mouth. It is easy to drink, but this is definitely not my favourite style.

Bottle at the Adelphi Kitchen. Soft, round, quite drinkable, but some green apples that did not appeal.

Many thanks to Sean for this bottle. The beers tarts fresh with hints of grain. Not too much aroma, hints of sweetish wheat. Hints of sourness in the background, not too special.

Aberdeen, Dark Bottle. Pours golden, minimal cloudiness. No bubbles. Scent is as standard scottish IPA, on the mild side. Taste mild but inviting. Palette starts harsh if too cold. Worth a try.

Bottle thanks to big bro. Clear light golden yellow coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is semi sweet grains, light caramel, little creamy. Flavour is composed of pale grains, little toffee and not much else. Pretty plane with a little creamyness. Palate is moderate carbonation, grainy on the tongue. OK not much to it.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury Local. Lemony coloured, floral nose, tastes much like a wheat beer. Coriander, lemon and butter. Not really what I was expecting but ok.

Bottle from Dobbies Ponteland. Pours gold with a white head. Nice creamy, buttery flavour. An enjoyable change from standard lagers

A perfectly drinkable if slightly average lager. There’s really not much to note about it. It’s mellow which marks it ahead of many of the mass produced lagers.

500ml bottle, pours gold with a fast-settling head, malty faintly herbal aromas lead to fairly full body, with golden fruit, drying bitterness, more herbal notes and a touch of honey. Bitter-sweet finish.

LAF as in, "Are you havin’ a ?". A buttery mess of a beer. Not very good.
