50cl bottle. Pours golden/orange with steady to frantic bubbles and a nicely proportioned head, The nose has oranges and a little toffee. The taste is of malt and some tangy toffee. The palate has a medium body, medium texture and a fairly clean finish. Overall, it’s another bitter, very drinkable but not particularly distinguished.

500ml bottle from Dobbies, Aberdeen. It pours a cloudy orange colour with a very thin white head and very low carbonation. The nose is sweet orange, lemon, yeast, caramel and horlicks. The taste is wood, smokey, tangy orange, lemon and lime zest, leading to a light bitter finish. It’s fairly thin, uncomplicated and inoffensive. A fairly drinkable bitter.
