Tap @ SD. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with an off-white head. The aroma had a mild tartness and even a little leather funk in it. The flavor was citrusy lemon and yeasty. The was light and very refreshing. A could put away a few of these.

750 at the brewery. Light amber/hazy light orange in color with a very large long lasting head. Aroma is tart lemon, and funky, with some musty belgian yeast and light notes of spice. Taste is a bit more subdued than the aroma, some weird funk, along with lemon rind, must/bready yeast and spices. very active carbonation, prickly across the palate. overall very dry, moderately tart and enjoyable. Too bad you can’t get a bottle of this to take home with you.

This beer is freaking awesome. Pours a thick golden color, full of light but cannot see through it at all. Aroma is sour with white grape skins fruit-peach vinegar. Very wild and lambic-esque. Taste is tart with lemon and light doughy yeastiness. Think mineral tart yeastiness. Has a freshly opened seltzer feel, all spiky. It’s a medium-light body offset by a strong carbonation. A very awesome beer. Tap at Spuyten Duyvil, wine house glass.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ryan (3068) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - NOV 23, 2007
Tasted blind, courtesy of Stine. Opaque, yellow body with a small, off-white head. Nose is pineapple, citrus, peach and light horseblanket. The flavor is lightly tart with bread, apricot, pineapple and floral hops. Medium body is very soft with moderate carbonation. Terrific beer.

Tap at the Diamond: Completely cloudy, deep golden pour topped by a consistent thin white film. Lovely, bright and complex aroma. Full of fruits and spiciness. Lemony, almost marmalade like, subtle oak suggestions, and very light berry-ish notes as well. Flavor is great as well. Velvety carbonation with a cleansing, mild tartness. Lemony character, white pepper, brett hints, dried wood background, and a refreshing dryness all around making it extremely drinkable. An extremely well crafted Saison, true to the traditional style.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 notalush (3744) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2007
Tap at Blind Tiger (and then later in the day at The Diamond - yea, I liked this beer) - hazy glowing orange beer - zero head - a ind of oily film floating on top - funky, semi-sour, barnyardy, wild, flemish sour sort of aroma, with notes of peach - soft and earthy - very tangy, with medium tartness - apple skins and slight white wine grapes - light funkiness - some grainy notes near the end - the finish has some phenolics and apple skin/cider flavors - unique and tasty.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 apoptosis (1316) - Long Island, New York, USA - OCT 27, 2007
I drank from Notalush’s glass at both Blind Tiger and The Diamond...So here goes my rating. Very hazy, with a dark golden-hued body. No head. It is very yeasty in the aroma, as well as tartness. Lots of lemons and oranges in here. The citrus comes through in the flavor too. For a Farmhouse beer, I was surprised by the overall tartness. Very well-balanced with just enough honey-sweetness.

Poured a hazy golden color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, orange peel, earth, brett, funk, and grape. Taste of citrus fruits, light green apple, tart grape, yeast, light spices, and orange peel. Gritty mouthfeel.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Stine (1399) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - SEP 21, 2007
Poured from a 750. Fully obscure, thick consistency of a grayish dandelion yellow. Sharp, sweet aroma of honey, green apple, vinaigrette, and banana. Soft funk settles in over a hugely fruity, dry cider taste. Salt, champagne, and basement air make for some intriguing tangential moments. Light bodied with a fitting sprightliness. Puckering, sour finish with grapefruit and a balance of pineapple sweetness. Unique, though maybe a little strong on sweet fruit acidity. Pleasant. Thanks Lou!

Bottle tasted at Saarlander’s SoCal tasting with saarlander, cquiroga, dirty_martini & kittiesandbeer, JohnC and others. Cloudy yellow. Abit sour with some corriander if I remember correctly. Easy to drink.
