it is an ordinary nut brown ale with flavor of almond, fresh malt and caramel. there is a mild off white head that shows an interesting fruit punch, then citrus and pine waft towards the finish. the beer is a pleasant medium brown. there is a light almost butterscotch more so oil can flavor that i for one find appealing. the body is moderately full and a bit slick. Purchased from the taps at an Applebees in North Bergen N.J. Seemed to me to be a very good nut brown ale.

on tap at Defiant. Unfortunately, I think this was the least favorite of all the beer I have tried from them. Hazy brown in color with a medium head. Aroma is acrid grain, with some must and lightly yeasty- not a very good aroma. Taste is a bit better- with caramel, some nutty notes, light touches of bread, yeasty, a bit dirty, with a light hop bittering finish. light to medium bodied. Didn’t like this one at all.
