750ml bottle acquired in trade with Lou18 (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a large sized, bubbly white head. Aromas of yeast, fruity (bananas, apples and pears), lemons, candi sugar and spices. My 4 year old said it smelled like lemon pears and she was right. Tastes of fruits (apples and pears), yeast an dlight spices. Dry and clean finish. For me, the body was too fizzy and over carbonated.

20070303 750ml bottle shared thanks to jimmack. My notes say Resolution No. 1. Pretty lemony and dry, vinous notes of vino verde. A bit soapy. Nicely done, yeasty, bready Belgian ale.

kramer (3457) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 12, 2007
25 oz bottle, via Lou18. Pours a crystal clear yellow gold under a large fizzy white head that receded to a small covering for the duration. The nose is of heavy bready malt and yeast with lighter spices and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is dominated by the doughy bready pale malt and lingering yeastiness. A slight tinge of hoppiness and spiciness on the finish. Noticable alcohol level on the finish as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly sticky with tons of fizzy efforvescent carbonation. Overall, this seems to be shooting for sort of Duvel-lite character. Decent, but not something I’d seek out again.

Eyedrinkale (3214) - Astoria, New York, USA - NOV 24, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2007 Bottle at brewpub. Gold with a tiny head. Not as funky as the Farmhouse, and slightly tart a d sour. There’s a metallic off flavor that tastes like a mouthful of nickels.

I believe this was shared by Jimmack at his own tasting. Light golden in color, lightly hazy with a long lasting white head. Aroma of citrus, light banana, alot of musty yeast, pale malt and spices. Taste is citrus and light banana esters, alot of musty and bready yeast, sweet pale malts. Light to medium bodied. Finishes dry, with a light hop bitterness and lingering light notes of spice.

First beer of a long day of drinking. Shared by Jimmack @ his Invitational’07. Love the cork and wire 750ml with no label, really adds a level of intrigue. Poured with a clear golden color with visible carbonation. Aroma is strong herbal-yeasty, earthy and a root-vegetable sweetness. Taste is similar with light esters and citrus. A stingy/spiky mouthfeel with a grassy aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2007 Poured a hazy, golden color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, tropical fruit, some banana, toffee malts, light spices, and bread. Taste of citrus fruits, toffee malts, bread, some earth, with vanilla, and a touch of alcohol in the finish.

750mL bottle, courtesy of jasonp. Thanks, Jason! Pours a hazy, yellowish-white color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Dense, vegetal and citrusy aroma: tart cherries and bread. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lemony tartness upfront, with a bready and doughy Belgian core; lively tartness and carbonation at the sides of the tongue. Lengthy, tart lemon and light ester finish.
