Cask at Brazen Head. Crystal clear amber beer with a thick sticky white head. Aroma is lightly grassy with a touch of fairly soapy character as well. A fairly prominent but slightly oxidized note. A little bit of cheesey hops. A bit of pine and a fairly assertive bitterness. Meh... can’t say I’m really a fan here.

(Old BA rate - cask) Hazy copper orange color, and true to the name it poured with a single finger of eggshell colored foam. Pretty decent head retention, though not much lacing through the sample. Slightly musty, citruisy hop aromas that near like a sweeter smelling grapefruit. Just a touch of maltiness peaks in behind the hops with a little baked bread. Things stop seeming alright once one actually tastes this beer. The hops are astringent at first, and the disparate nature of the hops used is evident (pine is battling citruisy and flowery). Not really the worst flavors, but definitely ’off’ to me. MF is good, smooth, and almost a little creamy. I really didn’t have the hardest time finishing the sample, but didn’t even come close to wanting another one. Flavors were just off. Overall, this had all the elements of a good brew minus the off flavors in the taste

Thanks Peter for adding this. Cask at BT. Cask leaves fluffy airy white head. Retains surprisingly well. Aroma is slight pine and a hint of citrus and light crisp hops. Taste is quite pleasing and refreshing. Nice and drinkable. Great maybe single hop usage. No lingering bitterness. Nice.

Cask at Blind Tiger: Nice hazy deep copper pour with a wispy tan head. Very herbaceous aroma with a honeysuckle like character and some fruity esters (seems to have fermented a bit to warm). Very herbal flavor as well with a fresh/mild crystal malt nutty back and a light lemon/spice hop presence. Lightly bitter but quite fresh tasting. Well made session IPA, but doesn’t standout.
