Dark brown color, very little aroma. Ends dry and not that exciting.

Dark caramel. Dense, light tan edge head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of flaked barley, dry black and roasted chocolate malts and hints of caramel. Mellow, watery yet vaguely full. Notes of bittersweet chocolate, dry roasted black malts and smooth barley. Disappointing watery depth yet a more than decent malt flavor prevails. Medium light body. Light coffee and toffee aftertaste. Dry. Hardly full bodied yet seemingly thick as the body expands as it sits. Long, lingering burnt malts. Finishes weaker and bit more astringent and bitterly dry. A decent version of a style I tend to loathe.
