Dekoninck Kriek lambic is a beer of spontaneous fermentation, blended from old and young lambic, matured on oak casks. Our quality is guaranteed by the addition of 200 grams of sour cherries pro liter beer. Store in a dark place, lying down. Pour very cold in balloon snifters.

pours very dark red / bordeaux . Small white ( light pink ) head . Smell is rather sweet cherries . Taste is wet cherries , bit sweet, some mild sour/oaky back . I dont know, I like it ... Why is it rated so low ? Light carbo, yet not flat . I’d even say carbo is perfect in this one , as well as the MF . I am rather sure sugar was used, but not too much of it . Nice one to me !

37,5cl bottle. APPEARANCE: deep dark red beer, small stable off white head. NOSE: very sweet, sweet cherries, syrupy. TASTE: overly sweet, syrup, sweet cherries. Too bad, but just another sweet kriek on the market...

Erzengel (4730) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2015
The nose is fresh, red or black cherries. The beer is slightly sweetish, not too sour. Fresh but sweetish, a bit artificial, like the cherries in a cherry-yoghurt. More sweet than sour. Smooth and easy to drink. A bit sticky, sweetish, Not like a typical Fruit Lambic, a bit more like a sweetish Radler.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are cherries, candy (labre larver), malt, fruits and has a sweet finish. Tasted both a new and a vintage 1990 that was quite a bit oxidated.
