1993 bottle at DHL (original, nothing to do with Frank). Shared with MrChopin + 2. Pale pinkish red color, edge head. Aroma of hay, straw, lemon. Taste is caramel and light funk. Nice.

Pour is mostly transparent with a deep orange color and red ruby hues. the head is light tan and thin in nature. Dusty cob webs in the nose, very dry, some sweet caramel malts, rubbery, and some articifial syrupy cherry. The taste is dry and dusty with a light to medium body. The feel is syrupy to go along with the faint artificial cherry flavor. Some sourness in back, stale tasting and a touch rubbery.

Bottle. Pours a dark murky red color with a pinkish head. Aroma is dominated by sweet and tart cherry and subtle red wine like notes. The flavor isn’t really tart at all only in the way of the tart cherry notes, with notes of red wine, dark cherry and thats it. The body is light with an almost watery mouthfeel. Overall a pretty boring Kriek, its not even sour...

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Poured a clear ruby red with a whitish pink head that started at the edges and remained throughout the beer. Aroma was full of sweet cherries and it reminded me of cough syrup. Flavor started was full of sweet cherries with a bit of a medicinal note and a bit sweet for my liking.

Dark red-amber, frothy white head with lacing. Cherry, brown sugar, light cherry juice and sand, some cherry sweetness lingering throughout and a moderate amount of rubber band. Lightly dry, but overly sweet and very thin.

Pours a blood red body with a huge fizzy strawberry head. Aroma is medicine like, Robittusin cherry cough medicine to be precise. The mouthfeel is light, low warmth, with a sweet finish. The flavor is mostly fruit based. Taste of cherry and a hint of vanilla. This beer is thirst quenching, subtle in sourness… best by 2013.

Bottle from Beer Planet shared with Lille Thomas. ;) Pours red with a pink head. The aroma is a bit dim with notes of cherries, light marzipan, malt and a hint of acid. Flavour is a bit thin and quite dry with notes of ripe cherries, lime, a bit acidic and a hint of wood. It lags complexity but is easy drinking and very pleasant on a hot day. Almost similar to a Lindemans.

Bottle at home (Kork: PL09). Clear dark red - light pink head. Cherry, marzipan, fruity, light acid, light sourish, nice freshness, lots of red berries, lots of cherry, light wooden notes. Nice.

75cl bottle, vintage 2011. This is unfortunately a sweetened lambic. Tastes like cherry sweets, no funk or sourness and its colour is a muddy brown which seems odd. Won’t be what your looking for if your wanting a traditional example of the style.
