small frothy light brown head. fair lacing. fully diminishing. murky thick dark brownish-amber body. aroma: heavy nutty malt, caramel, cask wood, raisin, cinnamon. if: heavy sweet moderate bitter. ff: heavy sweet bitter; long duration. palate: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation metallic heavy alcoholic finish (mine was 16% and not 15%). dulçor alcoólico inebriante, bem semelhante do de uma quadrupel, traz nuances de malte e melado, gosto amadeirado, não disfarça o alto teor, mas tampouco é uma explosão de álcool sem propósito, deliciosa cerveja, top3 barley wine 250 skol

Bottled at Untertürkheim, Buenos Aires Reddish copper color, no head. Aroma is sweet, of caramel and dry red fruits. Very light body for a barley wine, a bit salty with some cereals.

Bottled at Untertürkheim, Buenos Aires. Cloudy deep amber, no head. Peppery calvados aroma. Fairly sweet and with a plethora of dried fruits. The medium body struggles to to survive the onslaugtof alcohol. Malt stays in the background, hops stays unseen. No bitterness. More like calvados than beer.

Fukito (611) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 10, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2007 Bottle - December 2006 at Unterturkheim, shared with Omhper. Pours a red-copper color with almost no head nor visible carbonatation. Sherry like aroma, some brandy and fussels. Taste is sweet, dried fruits, plums. Mouthfeel is full to medium. Nice, somewhat syrupy but quite decent(7,3,6,3,13). Re rate 2/16/2007. Ruy clear color, deep nutty aroma, almonds? Rich sherry, cherries flavor, medium MF, dexterous for such a big brew.
