COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Manana is a Mexican-style amber lager (cerveza oscura). The malty, bold flavor of this beer recalls the European roots of Mexico’s great brewing history. Smooth and rich, Manana is superb, whether enjoyed alone or with your favorite Mexican food.

Sampler at Brewers Rendezvous 7/9/11. Pours a white head, over a clear amber (SRM 8) body......nose is light malts with a bit of cereal....taste is light malt....mouth feel light, carbonation medium. This is just a light beer with minimal aroma, flavor or complexity, BJCP 5/3/9/4/5

Pours out a deep orange amber color with a big off white head. Aroma is nutty and caramelly, and little else. Taste was amber malts, with a bit of wet cereal grain. Light body, a little disappointingly light. Easy to drink, but not a pleasure.

TPSA. Pours a medium to darkish amber. Caramel, molasses, fruit, and spice on the nose, is followed up by the same on the tongue. Finish turns oddly bitter -- and not in a hops way, in a ’what the heck was that?’ way. Promising start, mediocre end.

On tap @ PPBC. Transparent, burnt orange appearance with little head retention. Caramel malty, toffee, mildly bitter, pretty sweet flavor. Carbonation is a bit low.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at MDL in Overland Park, Kansas. Pour is a clear amber golden with a one inch light tan head. Head falls with nice lacing. Aroma is wet malt grain, cracker, mildly sweet. Taste is the mild grain malt, picks up a bit on the sweetness from the nose. Decently clean flavor, though gets a bit muddled between mineral and sweet malt as it warms. Palate is thin to medium bodied, dry mineral in the back, hint of cardboard in the finish. Easy drinking beer.
