COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Porter Stout beer 100% porteña. Of intense black color, awesome flavor of toasted malts, smoked hints and a sweet finish. Full bodied.

Fairly dark body with good size light tan head. Coffee notes on the aroma but not there in the taste, maybe some late cigarette ash.

I’m a fan of the style, and this beer was a properly representative of it. Porter dark black/brown colour with hints of red. More coffee aroma and smoke taste than most porters (leaning toward stout there), but still retains some chocolate. I enjoyed it enough, and already have the strong version lined-up.

12 oz bottle elaborada 9/09. Pretty solid, more roast character than I was expecting. Still a little lacking though. Some gross fruity esters. A bit watery in taste, but the palate was relatively full, esp for 4.5%.

Bottle, thanks Cristián and David! A black brew with lots of burnt bitter grains in the nose and taste, maybe a touch sweet (and therefore a porter IMO), but saved by an increasing scorched grain toastiness in the aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Dark brown color appearance with a tanned head that fades away quickly. Aroma of coffe beans, chocolate, berries, smoke, and caramel. Flavor: Smokey, toasted malt, caramel, and little hop presence. I specially liked the bitterness of this beer, very well balanced. There is good beer in Valparaiso!

Appearance: dark brown color. Little head, without persistency and of beige color. Aroma: sweet, very toasty malty, tones of sweet chocolate, candy and coffee grains. Fruity of berries and others ripe fruits. Touches of smoked, damp wood, tobacco, toast bread, vanilla and cacao’s liquor. Faithful at style, low presence of hops. Flavor: Mainly toasty, malty, candy, grain coffee and chocolate. Fruitiness of berries and figs. Smoky and toasty aftertaste. Low presence of hops in the end, dryness from "ultra-toasted" malts. Palate: Medium body, oily and silky texture. Medium carbonation. Relatively complex, good balance, a Nice Porter Chilean beer.

Best artisanal porter in Chile. First aroma and flavor excellent, appearance could be better. Better on tap than bottle. Flavor mix of coffee, smoke and roast cereals

Pitch black color, light brown head. Very good roasted malt, liquorice, salty nose. Full on firepit going on in the mouth. Roasted malty finish. Not enough bitterness IMO, but but nice. I LIKE.

Better than expected beers from Chile. Chocolate coffee nose pushes past the cold in my nose. Strong black colour. Long lasting brown head. Body is thin. More smoke, coffee and chocolate. Soft patio-like flavour.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2007 (in bottle, supermarket in Chile). Toast aroma that remembers(reminds) a bonfire. Brown very dark and turbid color that makes it almost black. has a good flavor to candy and too much bitterness. The body is medium, but the end is rather astringent.
