Sombeast (151), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 6, 2007 Cloudy dark yellow, 1-finger white head with good staying power, nice lacing. Fantastic hop aroma. Mouthfeel is medium, more than expected - I appreciate the malt load. Hop flavor is robust and pleasing but not oeverwhelming. Mild bitter finish. Solid mix of hop aroma, flavor and bitterness. BTW this beer was very popular with my two drinking companions last night. brewblackhole (1214), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Mar 16, 2007 Caramel and slight hop in the aroma, an unusual orange copper color, my taste experience slightly different then others, I was directly assualted by a hit of hops, both flavor and bitterness, hops were grainey and slightly piney, malt backing seemed minimal,,like the title says this is all about hops, for hopheads only 1FastSTi (2330), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Feb 12, 2007 10th Annual Mid*Winter Brewfest. The beer pours to a hazy brassy color with a foamy white head. The aroma is lightly piney and lemony. Too light. The flavor is ultra-toasted malt. Huge toffee and nougat. Citrus hops are in the background. I do, however, like what’s going on. The palate is average. I’d say its either a really malty IPA or this is an APA. JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Feb 4, 2005 Cloudy straw color with a tall off white head. Hand rubbed fresh hops aromas. Pale malt mix with fresh lightly citric hops. Very smooth feel. A cream ale with lots of hops. A nice change to all the heavy IPAs and IIPAs. Very drinkable. I could drink this all night. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 4, 2005 Cloudy yellow body with amber hints. Creamy white, moderately lasting head. Very orangey citrus hop taste, with slight paper astringency hints. A little too fizzy as well (I think this is a fresh barrel). Some hops in nose, and funky feet as well. Pretty good, but malt is hard to find.
