Ughsmash (2814), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jun 25, 2008 On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured clear lighter golden with a short, creamy cap of white head. The aroma found sweet lighter fruity sugars and first struck me as tripel-ish.. toasty with a bit of floral and grassy notes accenting. The flavor was tasty and simple, but just too sweet.. toasty caramel and lighter fruits surrounded by peppery and green floral bitterness at the edges.. spicy and very sweet on the finish. Sweet and medium-bodied on the palate with OK balance.. a touch sharp on the edges and warm at the finish. OK. esjaygee (664), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA May 11, 2008 Amber with thin white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit and sweet malts. Taste is pretty much the same. Dry and astringent on the finish, a so-so maibock. Petrucci914 (312), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 29, 2008 Pours a crisp light-golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is citrus fruits, pale malts, and hints of cherry. Taste is about the same........citrus fruits and bitter hops dominate the initial taste, whereas the palate tastes like cherry fruit concentrate. nolankowal (814), Dublin, Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2007 Bottle RBSG 07. Yellow pour with a white head. Aroma of light citrus, pale malt, and corriander. Flavors of dry malt, yeast, a tinge of barnyard, lemon/lemon zest. Medium body, malty/lightly sweet malty finish. BückDich (4491), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 5, 2007 RBSG 07 Minneapolis Grand Tasting: Clear gold, light head, no lacing. Nose of light malt and subtle fruit, a bit of honey and fresh cracked grains. The flavor is sweet and hoppy, a floral and confectionery creation. Finishes thin though, decent.
