Ughsmash (2773), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 30, 2007 On tap at Delafield Brewhaus, nitro pour. Poured clear medium golden with about ¾” of creamy white head that stuck around to the bitter end (I’m clever). The aroma was muted from the nitro treatment.. nice and soft, though, with drier floral notes on top of pale malts and lighter fruits. The flavor was sweet overall with pale malts and lighter fruit present at the core.. medium-higher floral and citrus bitterness surrounded, leaving a nice sweet/bitter contrast at the finish. Just shy of medium-bodied with lower carbonation.. nice balance. JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Sep 30, 2007 Lightly hazed straw colored liquid. Thus I assume the moniker. Nitro pour, so a full head of tight, small off-white bubbles. Traditional english malt aromas along with hop sack/fuggles(?) scents. Hints of butterscotch as well. Creamy fell. Light pale malt and mild floral/herbal hops. Just a drinkable session type brew. Enough nuances to keep it interesting’ and nothing to overpowering to make me want to defect. A true Saturday afternoon in the pub brew.
