May 7, 2003 Medium copper color with a thin lacey head. Mellow malt and hop aroma. Flavor is mostly caramel malt with a medium bitter finish. Good adherence to style.

Mar 12, 2003 A dark brown beer with a creamy, long-lasting head. Mild caramel scent. The taste was kind of a dark bitterness. The hops were pretty pronounced, with just a bit of malt holding it back. As I got deeper into the beer, the bitterness faded a little, letting a bit of caramel come forward. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Interesting beer.
