Lagerlager (2) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 31, 2013 does not count
On tap at Hogg Alley. A light to medium bodied lager with crisp, clean, craft style flavor. Color is golden. Good carbonation and mouth feel. Delivers an initial burst of clean hop flavor which fades to a smooth aftertaste. Nice session-able lager. More flavor than the macro domestic light beers but not overwhelming.

Surprisingly bold aroma and surprisingly flavorful for the style. A bit watery. Long lasting and slightly dry finish.

Sample from the tap at the brauhaus. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has notes of straw and hay with notes of backing biscuit. Flavor has more biscuit on it with backing notes of sweet grains, hay and straw.

On draught at the Delafield Brehaus near Delafield, Wisconsin. Pour a clear golden pale colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of citrus and grassy hops and some lager yeast. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, soft yeast and a hint of corn. Finish is semi-dry with a mellow golden grain aftertaste.

On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured clear, bright golden with a short white head. The aroma picked up artificially-sweetened pale and honey malts, with touches of lemon around.. came across very sweet.. non-offensive, but non-enticing. The flavor found honey at the core with more grainy sugars in there too.. dry and a tad scratchy around.. decent balance. Light-bodied, dry, and grainy on the palate.. fairly refreshing and easy-drinkin’. Not much to it, but it’ll probably sell.
