Delafield Monastic Bombastic

Chestnut color with some hints of garnet when held to the light. Smallish dark cream head. Light fruit and lightly toasted malt aromas. Some hints of depth, but a fairly simple smell. Darker fruits, light spice and plenty of malt flavors make this known that there is a backbone to this one. Caramel, light cloves and fruits of bosc pears and figs couple with a mild spice to make this a worthy effort. Full and satisfying.
