Sampled on draught at the Brewhaus. Poured a dark mahogany colour. Decent sized head. Toasty with some noticeable bourbon notes. Creamy and super smooth, not too rich but very filling.

Looks pretty good - dark brown, with a soapy tan head - medium bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel - semi-sweet vanilla and roasted malt give way to a smoky, slightly ashy finish - the ashy character gets really strong as it warms, and kind of takes over the beer - meh.

Pours a medium brown color with a medium mocha head that leaves sticky lacing. Aroma is slight......dark malts, with a touch of chocolate and coffee. Taste is about the same. Very easy drinking but nothing that sets it apart or defines the style in any special way.

On draught at the brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear cola brown brew with a creamy light tan head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and light tan ring. Aroma of roasted dark caramel malt, some flowery hops, a touch of chocolate and some coffee character. Taste is medium bodied, mild carbonation with flavors of roasted caramel malt, light chocolate and coffee character with flowery hops, and a little ice tea. Finish is semi-dry with light aftertaste of iced tea, chocolate and some flowery hops. A little light in body compared to most other porters I’ve tried but still enjoyable.

Growler from jkugel. Pours a dark brown with a hint of red. Nice two finger head. Decent lacing. Aroma light, bit of spicey hops and a bit of chocolate. Flavor decent chocolate with a god spicey hop. Mouthfeel light and smooth dry. Finishes with a bit of a hoppy flavor and some alcohol. A decent example of a porter.

On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured very deep brown with a 2" creamy tan head.. good lookin’ beer! The aroma picked up toasted nutty notes, chocolate, and coffee.. quite dry and sweet overall. The flavor had dry sweeter chocolates, a little molasses, and dark fruits.. a dry-roasted coffee bitterness worked well in accenting the edges.. the tasty finish was quite bitter. Grainy on the palate with the body on the lighter side.. could’ve used a bit more carbonation.. kind of fell off the finish. Very solid overall.
