4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, USA - MAY 23, 2005
Beautiful pale yellow and cloudy. Looks almost like pineapple juice. Aroma is strongly of bananas, along with vanilla and cloves. Absolutely delicious smell. Flavor is citric, banana, vanilla, cloves... you get the idea. It’s very fresh. Carbonation is very reserved, which is a trait I appreciate with a hefe. Light in body, but sturdy with its malt profile. Slick finish, hinting towards souring, but then transitions to a banana smoothie aftertaste. Maybe this is a new batch from other recent ratings, but this much I know: this is a really well done hefe.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 deyholla (3528) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of orange peel backed by some sweet wheat and a hint of clove and banana. Flavor also has a good amount of orange peel that combines nicely with the wheat and finishes with clove.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BVery (2545) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Tap at the brewpub. Light orange pour, pretty clear for an "unfiltered wheat." Clove and wheat nose - mild. Nice medium palate. Clove and a touch of white grape on taste. Decent.

On tap at brewpub, pours a very hazy yellow with a thin head, the aroma is of light banana with some clove, the flavor is more clove than other fruit notes, not terrible but this has never been a style I enjoyed all that much.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Cloudy, light yellow pour with a foamy, white head, a bright citrusy nose and a great citrus flavor, light and balanced with citrusy hops, not too spicy, not really a great example of the style but still quite drinkable and decent.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 20, 2009
Hazy golden color with banana and clove in the aroma. Flavor was a bit sweet and didn’t seem too well blended. Very weak flavors, overall.

Second one on draft this day which was delightful in every way. P0oured a cloudy golden colour with a large white head. Very wheaty, lots of lemon and flavours that were fresh and tropical. Pineapple, mango and very noticeable bubblegum flavours.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 notalush (3742) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 10, 2009
Very light and thin, even for a hefe - lifeless carbonation - watery, with notes of lemon and clove phenols, as well as a light, plastic-like quality on the back - refreshing, but lacking most of the qualities that make a hefe great.
