COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by women, this heavy blonde beer has 8.5% ABV and second fermentation in the bottle. This beer has a pale blonde colour and fine, white creamy and lacing foam. The aroma is very balanced, with a fruity and flowery background and a first impression of chardonnay, that further evolves to a spicy, mild hop aroma. The flavour is very balanced with fruity notes of apple and chardonnay grapes. Deliria has a fine, mildly bitter aftertaste and a wonderful, round mouth feeling with a nice evolution.

Specialty beer, brewed once a year on the occasion of International Women’s Day

Poured from bottle a chalice glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a huge head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast at first, slowing down as it subdues and then having a good level of retention. As it fades further it leaves some lighter bits of foamy and spotty lace on the sides of the glass with some foamy islands left floating atop the surface of the beer. Smell – The aroma of the brew is quite heavy of a yeasty and fruity aroma of grape, pear, and peach. There is tons of bubblegum in this nose, with it probably actually being the strongest of the smells. This smell is complimented nicely by some coriander and clove aromas, balancing it out rather well. With a bit of grass and hay mixed with a biscuit malt smell working their way into the nose as well, one is left with a deliciously sweet and robust aroma overall. Taste – The taste begins much drier then I was anticipating from the nose with a rather big malt forward crackery taste. Mixed with these flavors comes some rather decently strong yeast and spice flavors of coriander and clove with both the yeast and the spice ramping up as the taste advances. There is a little bit of a candied sugar taste upfront, which fades more toward the middle, with it being replaced by some of the lighter fruits of grape and pear detected in the nose. All the while some boozy flavors begin developing on the tongue with them starting out more subdued, but getting decently strong to the end. With some grain and grass that also develop in the taste toward the middle and to the end, one is left with a rather dry and slightly boozy, but crisp and rather flavorful flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thin and crisp for a Strong Ale with a carbonation level that is average to a bit lower and composed of very peppery little bubbles. The lighter body and feel of the bubbles was fantastic for the crisp nature of the brew although just a bit of a higher level of the carbonation would have been slightly more invigorating. Overall the feel was rather good though and complimented the flavors of the brew nicely. Overall – This was a rather refreshing and crisp Belgium Strong. Another well crafted and very enjoyable brew by a brewery that never disappoints me.

750 mL bottle with a 2015 label. Pours a clear bright golden with a large fizzy head. Light green apple aroma with slight spice, cotton candy yeastiness. A very nice yeasty clove and lightly fruity (pear, apple) flavor with a touch of savory cracker. Pretty good stuff.

750ml bottle. I brought this over and shared it with my parents. This pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was some light lemon peel, light grassy notes, floral hops and a touch of spices. Flavor was straw, some lemon. Strong yeast. Okay, but we all agreed that the standard Delirium and even the Nocturnum are better.
