Pours a dark brown with a big tan/off white head, moderate carbonation. Aroma is a low pils malt aroma, lots of candy sugar aroma, light noble hops. Flavor starts off with a malt bite but quickly moves into a dark, slightly burned sugar flavor, some modest dark fruit notes. Beer is very smooth, great density and the carbonation is perfect to deliver the aromas and flavors.Overall a very high quality beer with everything done just perfect and one I will be looking forward to having again in the not too distant future.

There is something off about this, something about the taste and aroma remind me of a cheap cologne. Otherwise this is a middle of the road belgian strong which doesn’t excel in anything. Nice pink elephant on the bottle, shame about the beer.

Bottle. Surprised I haven’t rated this before. Pours with a hue, hazy off-white head, with a clear brown body underneath. Aroma of candi sugar, alcohol, orange peel, dark fruits and coriander. Taste is metallic with dark fruits, and astringent note, near cloying sweetness and coriander. Light bubbles and a water like mouthfeel.

Reddish brown and hazy. Aroma is a little cloying, spice and fruit. Flavor is the same.

One of those beers I try often and never seem to develop a taste for. Heavy sugary aroma and flavor with some spice, but I always ask my self WHY? (When there are better Belgians aplenty)

Draft and bottle. Pours a hazy amber brown body with a fluffy tan head. Lots of alcoholic overripe fruits like apple, plum, and berries. Some light spices. A good brew.

Slight burnt fruity molasses nose. Deep dark brown color with noticeable ruby red hues, medium head with nice lacing. Molasses sweetness, some clove, slight bitterness, nicely balanced. Huge carbonation, medium body, very smooth warming finish. Great depth of flavors, well-structured, nothing dominates.
