[330ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Dark brownish red pour with an effervescent thin white head. Aromas of sweet malt with some yeasty notes and a fruity component. Heavy hitter at first, but the flavours diminish gradually over time to leave a very nice finish. Some sweetness in there as well. Good malt balance. Rich on the palate, slightly musty at times but a really good beer – I prefer it to the Tremens. Balanced but never overpowering [23052008]

Bottle. Color dark red with big head. Aroma caramel, alcohol, dark fruits, nut. Taste sweet, alcohol, sugar, fruits, roasted.

Was kinda of nutty with a dissipating head through out the drink. Dark brown and the sediments on top of the head looked like nutmeg. Nice display.

7 May 2011, bottle. dark amber/brown, clear, steady bubbles, frothy tan head. nutty malt, alcohol, grapes and some faint soap. full body and very fizzy. tart, yeasty alcohol, grapes and faintly yeasty. decent for a belgian strong.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours a translucent dark brown with small ruby highlights, floating yeast, and medium beige head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is toffee, good lacing, and medium carbonation. Taste is dark candy sugar, some raisen, and a hint of herbal hops in the finish.

While it’s not quite as good as its brother beer Tremens, Nocturne has a nice flavor of it’s own and goes down nice and easy. A great beer to have with a good meal.

Pours dark amber with a low head. Aroma is malts, raisins and alcohol. Flavor is slightly roasted malts, alcohol, dark fruits abduction liquorice. Pretty nice.
