3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very deep amber/near black in colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma was of plums, some yeast and must, bubble gum and alcohol. Flavour was citrusy, spicy(cloves), sugary sweetness, peppery and alcohol. Finish is smooth and quick.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2004 Nice chocolate colour with a frothy tan head. Mild chocolate and a bit of caramel with yeast on the nose before a slightly too strong alcohol taste hits you. Smooth lingering, slighty overly carbonated and mildly chocolate finish. OK.

Fruity, sweet aroma. Dark bugundy in color. Sweet fruity taste with a light malt balance. Pretty average.

Nut brown color, large head. Not too strong flavoring of any sort, but still good overall.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured nice, had a delicate head and a dark copper color. The taste was fruity and nutty at the same time with a definite nutty aftertaste... Filled me up fast though and made my stomach feel a little wierd afterward. Not the kinda feeling I want/expect from a good beer. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I won't leap to a bad judgement.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an almost opaque coppery amber color with a thick beige head that just won't die. Rich, fruity aroma. Smooth and silky on the palate with a nice alcohol bite. Flavor is malty and fruity with a woodsy, smoky finish. Delicious beer. Very impressive.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(7 Jan 04, 9% ABV) Heavy malt aromas with notes of perfume, pepper, aniseed, alcohol and a moderate yeastiness. The body is reddy black with a fizzy light-brown head that disappears very quickly. The body starts off with a light bitterness that grows to join a moderate sweetness in the finish. It has a medium, lively, syrupy mouthfeel with a noticeable bite of alcohol.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet, tart fruity aroma with a dark nocturnal color. Sweet again, a little thin on the mouthfeel. Dry and malty leave the aftertaste. A tasty belgian but I've had better.
