Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy brown body with a large off-white head that dissipated slowly. Aroma of caramel, figs, and molasses with yeast. Initial flavor is slightly bitter with heavy alcohol notes and some caramel sweetness. I’ll let it warm a bit...still not my favorite, quite bitter. Decently rich palate with pretty strong carbonation.

Dark brown pour with brown highlights and a thin light brown head. Aroma of chocolate and figs. Flavor of chocolate, figs and nuts. The palate is light and dry and the carbonation is moderate. There are interesting elements in there but somehow this beer fails to really captivate me, I can say that it’s good though.

This belgian ale is dark red with an off white head that starts bitter and strong. After warming about mid bottle the flavor mellows into a fruity finish that leaves little aftertaste. Not a bad belgian. Just let it warm a little and don’t let the first few sips discourage you.

Pours murkey brown with a slightly hoppy/floral nose. Full nectar. A ballanced dark ale that pours a medium head w/ medium hangtime. Just off dry w/ a slight leathery worstershire sauce/tart barnyard tropshire. Long finish with slight alcohol showing.

I’m just not digging this one. It poured with a nice fluffy head, but the aroma is rather bland and plain, slightly sweet, slightly yeasty, slightly acidic, inoffensive. Flavor’s the same way. Meh.

Yeast. Bitter aftertaste. Did not enjoy. Love the wrapper. Smelled better than the taste.
