3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2 bottles shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & gregclow - courtesy of HogTownHarry & blankboy. Dark brown, bubbly tan head. Some cola, alcohol, stale malt in aroma. Taste of butterscotch, and sweet dark malt with hints of spices. Some fruity notes as well. A little thin. Not bad, but not overly flavourful and a little too strong.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy reddish brown. Aroma of relaxing in a field of flowers. The flavor is a bit like wine... fruity and herbacious with a touch of alcohol and a dry finish. But there is just enough malt and hops to give some beer character. As far as Belgians go, there are some better ones out there, but this is quite good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. Pours a solid deep red-brown hue with a dense, lingering head. The smell is rich of flowers, alcohol, and malt notes. The flavor is immensely dry with some raisins, complex fruit notes, and more alcohol. This successful harmony is followed by a very dry finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
2 bottles shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - courtesy of HogTownHarry & blankboy. Ruby brown with a reddish off-white head that is small at first, but picks up a lot when swirled. Aroma of brandy-soaked cherries, brown sugar and a hint of cocoa. Body is thin. Flavour is quite sweet and fruity, somewhat one-dimensional, with alcohol warmth in the finish. Seemed a but stale as well. Alright, but I expected more for some reason.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2006 I love Delirium Tremens, and I expected this to be the a darker version of it. I was sooo wrong.
330ml Delirium Tremens glass.
The aroma was neither fresh nor old.
Malty and vaguely hoppy.
Flavor was dominated by a broken bitterness and a slightly coppery taste.
Not what I expected.
