3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 33cl. Dark brown with reddish hints, big beige head, mostly diminishing, and thatís a pity! The aroma is spicy with notes of malt and caramel. Strong alcohol flavour specially in the aftertaste. Malt is also present and that gives a very nice sweetness to this beer. In my humble opinion, this Delirium is very good and itís a little under-rated.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: An absolutely delightful BSA. This snuck up on me quickly with its ABV%. A nice darker colour with some nice sediment. A spicier taste that I loved. Will be back for more of this.

Good Belgian strong ale. Doesnít taste nearly as strong as it is. Could easily sneak up on you!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into shaker glass. Sampled side-by-side with Tremens. The darker color of this beer hides the "floaters" better. I realize that bottle conditioned beers are going to have some sediment, but IMHO the whole Delerium line has way too much. Moving on...A strange complex fruity aroma came to me in the form of rasins and grapefruit. Flavor was more subdued. Finished a little spicy.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2006 Pours a deep dark amber--canít tell if itís cloudy or clear-- with a moderate beige head. Smells of raisins and yeast. Tastes a litte bit of toffee and chocolate with some acohol. Slight bitter finish. I like tremens better than this one. Dunno about noel yet, but itís hiding in my closet, so Iíll figure out in a couple days.
Update: Not that it matters, but I can pick up a little graham cracker in the aroma as well. Just felt like adding it, because this is a new aroma Iím able to pick up now.

sugarplums on the nose, chocolate graham crackers in the mouth. Daresay it tastes a bit like a stuffed artichoke also. got a bit of carbonated bite, crunchy palate if there is such a thing. looks deep leather with a slight tinge of red. frothy head with fine lacing. nice!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: fig, brandy and bailing wire. Appearance: red highlights in a dark brown non translucent with a cappacino tan fluffy head that leaves sheet to patchy lacing. Flavour: hints of mocha and plum brandy, balanced spiritousness with barely a hint of hop presence. Palate: medium mouthfeel, gently carbonated, gives way to a mocha/carbon finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Dark brown with quickly dissapearing head. Cherry malt aroma. Feel is overly fizzy. Semi-sweet with a bit of raison. Not my favorite strong ale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2006 Another one of my favorites! Pours a dark brown into the glass. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Peppery with a pleasant alcohol hint in the finish. This beer makes me feel all warm inside. Gotta love the bottle!!!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark brownish red with a small head and huge chunks of yeast. Dark fruits and caramel in the aroma - plum, honey, raisins, cherry, figs, fruit cake. Lots of fruit in the taste, but itís too thin and lacks complexity. The alcohol comes through very weaky as well. There are much better Belgians out there.
