4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown with a large then quickley slim beige head. Aroma is malty, yeasty and spicey. Taste is caramel and malts, vague dark fruits, with a lightly bitter finish. Ful bodied, quite carbonated on the tongue with well hid alcohol. Nice, drinkable, nearly top notch, but not.

Bottle from binny’s...Poured a rich brown with a quickly disappearing brown head. Aromas were yeasty and spice, with earthy undertones. Flavors were not as prevelant I would have hoped from a belgian strong ale. Although the carbonated, oily mouthfeel did give this brew some character. Overall, very smooth and enjoyable.

Bottle. Poured hazy, brown and nearly opaque with orange highlights and a moderate beige head. Aroma is nice, dominated by yeast, fruit, molasses and spice - clove, allspice and bit of nutmeg - with hints of dust and earth. Flavor is sweet and bready initially, with sour fruits, spice, vinegar, alcohol and a mildly puckering astringent aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation.
