33 cl bottle. Pours clear, brown with cherry hues and a light khaki head, two fingers in the Tremens glass, dissipating to a half a finger. Nose is fruity, cherry and raisin, slight clove and allspice with a touch of alcohol. Taste is sweet caramel with raisin and cherry, with spicy notes of clove and coriander. Dry finish with some hop bitterness that’s overtaken by alcohol flavor and heat, the latter of which lingers well into the after. Decent BSA.

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, hazy, small head, good brew, better balance than Delirium Tremens

Pours dark brown, with a thick head and a big fruity aroma. Flavor is sweet malts in the front, raisins in the middle and a bit of a lingering finish. Hardly any hop profile. A definite one to pick up.

Had this beer a couple years ago, and I can’t believe I forgot to rate it then. This is a very good beer; darker than the tremens and has a flavor to accompany the shade of the beer. It tastes strongly of dark fruits and nuts, with a hint of yeast. I really enjoyed this beer, and I have another in my hand as I type this.

Pretty solid beer. Tasty belgian ale, nothing real different for the style but good. The only real knock is that there wasn’t much of an aftertaste. The aftertaste kind of tasted like a standard beer.

The color was a rich ruby. The head was thick, foamy, and light beige. The aroma was sweet, spicy, and malty. The flavor was the same. The palate was thick-bodied. The finish was spice.

The foamiest beer I have ever seen. Dark brown beer with a lot of suspended sediment visible when held to light. The head is tan and dense and frothy and foamy. The aroma is of belgian yeast and dark brown belgian sugar. The taste is mellow dark sugar with woodtones, and a smoothness that’s very unique for a big beer. Beer comes of with a medium body and a sourness that make ya pucker. The finish is unfortunately a little metallic.

2008-06-26 from bottle: Vapors and esters in the aroma…crisp with ripe fruit. Cloudy and brown with some lacing. Ripe banana flavors, with dry start. Very fizzy start turns into a medium body finish.
