The cork exploded out of this one! Fortunately, not a gusher, just a loud bang. This pours a murky deep brown color with a thick fluffy head on top. Nice looking beer; there’s a lasting layer the whole way with some scattered lacing. The aroma shows apple, plum, yeast, and quite a bit of candi sugar. This is slightly spicy but still very soft going down with notes of sweet caramel and candi sugar to balance the spice. Yeasty with a lot of assorted fruit flavors; plums, dates, raisins, a lot of stuff that might resemble a bag of mixed dried fruit. Maybe some mild funky cherry too. There’s some alcohol noted but overall this is incredibly smooth and drinkable. We really just have a flat out solid Belgian Strong here. I can’t think of anything wrong with it and it seems to really hit what the style is all about.

Bottle from Great Grog. Pours a lovely deep brown, with medium-large beige head. Many assorted berries in the aroma, with treacle and alcohol also there. Taste is fruity and funky, with cherry, berries, sherry*. Gave a bottle to Terry from Derry, who was very hairy. Scary. May have got carried away there...sticky mouthfeel, a little alcohol warming as well. Lovely, not quite as brilliant as Tremens, but it’s another stupid, ridiculous Delirium beer, and as such is fantastic. *not actually there, I just put it in to make the joke work. As well as it can work, anyway...

Brown coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation visible. Malty roasted aroma with some mint hints. Full sparkling palate. Finish is soft roasted with bitter dry ending.

Aroma: Smells of apples, cherries, some other berries. Appearance: Pours black with ultra-carbonation. Looks almost like Coke. Taste: Fizzy and fruity. It’s easy to drink this quickly and get hit with the abv. A lot of fruit on the tongue. The taste matches the aroma with minimal alcohol on the tongue. Palate: Smooth, a little sticky.. Overall: Killer brew from Delirium. Not quite as great as the Tremens but I’d absolutely drink this happily anytime. Price point is very high.. a little higher than other solid Belgians.. but this has some different flavors that make it worth seeking out.

Poured from a bottle. Appearance is a dark brown with a beige head of foam. Aroma is of figs, molasses, and dark candied fruits. Taste is figs and molasses fading to a dark fruity finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2012 On tap at Snaps Galéria, Budapest. Clear brownish red color with off-white frothy head. Interesting, fresh, sour aroma with fruits and spices. Cherry, plum, citrus. Malty with some caramel aroma. Medium body with average carbonation and creamy sticky texture. Long fresh fruity finish. It’s a nice, gently fruity and spicy beer with some Christmas feeling!
