Orange copper haze color. Nice foam. Sweet fruits and caramel aromas. Taste the same with caramel as main ingredient. Sweet aftertaste as well with sticky feelings.... Very nice beer in general.

Carbonnation moyenne, longueur moyenne, alcool bien masqué (10%). Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.

tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 7, 2011
330 ml. bottle shared at a monthly tasting session. Poured to a sampler with a clear copper hue, off white, creamy head foam, and good cling to the curtainy lacing. The aroma was caramel, sweet fruit as dark cherry & concord grape, a touch of spice, with a light vinous nature. The flavor included soft malt, with a little creaminess to the mouthfeel, a sweet syrupy texture, medium body, and subtle but warming alcohol. A tasty Strong Ale, especially appropriate for holiday time.

Swaroga (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2011
33cl bottle. Dark red/brown with a eggshell white head. Nose : Caramel/toffee malts. Chocolate with raisins. Fruity bubblegum like esters. Sip : Oily with a medium carbonation. Sweet chocolate malts going into bitter roasted coffee like notes. Dried fruits aromas balancing the palate. Bitter coffee and hops aftertaste. Overall it’s an exciting beer.

RickTStiles (504) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 25, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2011 pours deep reddish brown with a thin beige head and some bits of lacing. aroma is sweet with some spice notes. candy sugar, beets, molasses, anise, currants and jelly beans are all present. body is full. taste is rich with cream, grapes, raisins, currants, yeast, apples and apricots. finish is sweet but in an overripe way. a strong, sweet beer the captures the decadence of belgian ale beautifully.
