COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

330ml bottle poured in its own glass @ "Pinguin zem Bier-Huus": A very nice Beer house in Basel. A: First of all: Classic bottle art with the pink elephant and a nice purple aluminum foil on the neck. Cloudy brown color. One finger head S: Earthy Belgian yeasts, toffee and malt. Fruity and sweet smell. T: As suggested by the smell: Belgian yeasts, toffee and toasted malt with some notes of dark fruits. Sweet start. Also balanced (hoppy) bitterness. M: Balanced bitter-sweetness. Nice malt and hops mouthfeel. Good carbonation D: High. Despite the high ABV, you cannot feel too much the alcohol. Lovely Belgian beer. Recommended. Bottle from Bierzwerg. The beer pours out in a deep, cloudy brown-golden colour with steady low head and medium to smooth body. Aroma of belgian yeast and straw with some raisin hints. Taste of Belgian yeats, raisins, sugar, leaves, bread and grains. Grainy-yeasty-sweet finish. Drinkable, yet nothing special.

Pours a lively head which powers a great aroma. Looks are great, except for a bunch of floaties. Sweet malt with a nice carmel taste.

Dark brown red color, medium quickly disappearing head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, chocolate, spices. Taste has similar notes, dry sweet with gently bitter finish and roasty aftertaste. Medium body and lively carbonation. Nice Belgian ale, quite enjoyable.

Fantastisch etiket en flesje. Licht bitter met een heerlijke nasmaak. Redelijke schuimkraag, mooie donkere kleur. Heerlijk flesje bier met liefde gebrouwen.

Pours a clear dark brown with a frothy light brown head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, dark dried fruits, plums, raisins and nice fruity esters. Taste is caramel, dark dried fruits, raisins and a light smooth fruitiness. Excellent Belgian dark strong.
