Dark, thick, and hazy. Fruity taste with hints of prunes/raisins. Malty, smooth and palatable.

Deep dark amber with a thousands of chunks floating around it. It looks like cheetah skin or a snow globe when shake it up. There are some enormous chunks I can see now. I am only taking a couple sips here. Smell of malt, caramel, some hops, almonds, fruit and alcohol. Taste of rotten fruit, hops, malt, gas and alcohol. Carbonation was there and a little bitter at the end.

Bottle: Poured a dark color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention. Aroma is quite sweet with some candi sugar and plenty of malt. Taste is also a well enough balanced mix of candi sugar, caramel and big malt with some limited yeast characteristics. Body is a bit too watery for the style but the alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle, Aroma/Flavor, white grapes, like a good dry German white wine, Appearance, dark with a off white head, didn’t last long, Palate, sour and very carbonated, like a sparkling wine, but not as sweet. Have another bottle, may revise "rating" later...

The 11.2 ounce bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown beverage with a small but smooth creamy head that was mostly diminishing but that left good lacing on the glass. Pour carefully however, this is bottle conditioned. The aroma offers a hint of burnt caramel from almost a foot away. Upon closer examination, there are also notes of dates, raisins, prunes - dried dark fruits. There is also a hint of old leather in the background. The body is full and inviting with lively carbonation and a smooth, wet texture. The flavor starts off sweet but quickly shows a sharp tangy bite at the front of the tongue. The finish is medium-long with the tangy bite lasting throughout. There is also a nice warmth that builds in the chest through the finish. Nice.

750ml bottle - Pours dark brown with a big, fluffy head. It smells of malts and yeast. The flavor is caramel malts, yeast, and a hint of dark fruit. It’s easy to drink for 9% with the ABV just showing up a little in the finish. It’s pretty good, but honestly I was hoping for more.

I bought numerous beers and this was one of them. For the price and expectations, I was disappointed. This is better than a domestic but there are many better beers out there than to spend the money for this one.
