emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Nov 1, 2006 Poured a dark brown brew with a light tan medium length/thickness head. The aroma smelled of alcohol and some citrusy hop. The flavor was composed primarily of alcohol and some fruit. Not as complex as I would have liked. The palate was nothing special and the finish tasted of alcohol. garmonbozia (225), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Oct 28, 2006 Bottle from liqourama. Poured a beautiful cloudy brown color with a nice beige head. Smell of fruits and plums as mentioned below. First taste was not what I was expecting. It was too carbinated for my liking, I guess I was expecting more of a smoother. less carbinated taste, but it wasn’t too bad. asmithbeer (42), USA Oct 27, 2006 Nice amber color with fruity smell, like plums or prunes. Head was nice but didn’t last. Taste was decent but really lacking on the finish, kind of metallic. tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 23, 2006 amber brown colour, lotsa head nose of fruit, spices, some caremel.. the taste is well amazing. BeerHeadBobby (142), In Hiding.., Florida, USA Oct 19, 2006 Small 12oz. Bottle - Pours a dark red with a small white head....... Smell is sweet fruits and yeast... Aroma of fruit, caramel, yeast. Full body with fine carbonation. The taste starts sweet with figs and nuts and moves on to a caramel sweet finish with some vanilla and just a dash of spice and herbal hops to clean things up. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Oct 14, 2006 Pours dark amber / bronze with a thick fizzy tan head. The aroma has peppery spice, caramel malt, earthy yeast - somewhat crisp and clean. Medium body with an ample amount of sharp carbonation. Taste has earthy caramel, raisins and brown sugar. It is fairly musty. The finish brings some sharpness and more fruit (dark cherries and more raisins) and spice. After the finish the Belgium earthiness lingers in the mouth for quite a while. Nice Belgium strong ale. saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 13, 2006 Bottle. Nice head with ok duration. Color is light brown. Aroma is fruity. Taste is fruity too with some alcohol.
