Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Aug 5, 2006 Bottle. Nice dark brown cloudy body topped with a lasting beige foamy head. Wonderful malty/hoppy aroma with strong plummy/vineous notes and some lighter yeasty hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Taste is complex and robust. It carries fruity, yeasty and subtle woody notes. Ends with a good and well balanced warming finish. Awesome beer! SDalkoholic (1186), Chula Vista, California, USA Aug 4, 2006 Opaque appearance but when held agaisnt a light turns a reddish color with sediment seen. Beer is a naked liquid that has no head. Small scent of yeast. Must be a really old and aged bottle because the carbonation level is flat but the flavor still maintains a light spicy yeast with caramel notes. Must be real good fresh. Now if only i could find a store that gets new shipments of this stuff. holdenn (1432), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 4, 2006 pours a maple syrup color with a thin off white head that doesn’t fade. The nose is carmel, toffe, and bready. The flavors are overall sweet raisins, brown sugar, carmel, dried fruits but balanced fairly well on the palate with spices and a smooth creaminess. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium Aug 3, 2006 33 bottle, poured in a Delirium Noel glass (don’t know wether this has the Coffee, caramel, prunes, raisins, alcohol aroma. Dark amber body, huge beige creamy head. The flavour of the head is spicy, with a creamy finish. A lot of sweets, spices, toffees, malt and caramel make up the palate, with a flavour which is quite bitter for a dark beer but with a sweet syrupy finish. However, it lacks some deeper complexity. GRM (1238), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Jul 31, 2006 Brown bottle, 330 ml, best before September 2006, purchased on May 6 2005; eye: flat brown with burgundy reflections, nice beige head that lasts, no effervescence, visible sediments; nose: caramel, yeast, alcohol, "vegetable juice", dark small berries; mouth: in that order, malt, caramel, dark small berries, bitterness, finale is somewhat syrup with a hini of pepper at the end, light acridity appears as it warms, mildly sweet, lightly bitter, full body, good carbonation; overall: good

Loads of yeast chunks floating- this one is a little ominous looking. Sweet brown sugar aroma, with a little alcohol. Flavors are sweet roasted malts, very sugary. A bit of alcohol in the finish. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA Jul 30, 2006 Huge fruity aroma ...hints of pear, peach, apple as well as (very sweet) caramel/brown sugar. Nice foamy head, leaves behind a fine layer of bubbles on the surface. Very rich, heavy malt flavors balanced with the caramel-like sweetness. Slightly sticky or syrupy mouthfeel, and a hint of alcohol to the finish. Pretty good overall. pantani (1895), Salinas, California, USA Jul 23, 2006 Finally tried this, nothing big. Caramel is nice, bit too sweet with alcohol and sugar, slight warming in the body, sticky mouthfeel. Could be much worse.
