COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

330 ml. bottle. brwon colour, with a big whtie head that does not hold for too long, but leaves a good lace. Smell of chocolate, dried fruits (figs, plums), liquorice, cherries and spices. Surprisingly, the body is not as strong as I was hoping. Taste is the same as smell; dried fruits, chocolate, spices and liquorice. It reminds too of some liquor that Ican’t remember now. One that I can repeat, and hoping it will be soon.

Drinking from tab at Delirium cafe Amsterdam Coffee and alcohol in the aroma. The clear, red beer has a small off-white head. In the taste caramel, coffee and alcohol. Low carbonated.

Bottle. Poured dark, reddish brown; huge tan head and tons of lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite fruity, some malts and some hints of alcohol. Taste is consistent, fruity (dark fruits), some malts, brown sugar and some yeast flavors. Very good beer, easy to drink and certainly quite enjoyable.

Bottle from Carrefour, Evere, Brussels, Belgium. Dark brown red. Feels bitter and sour. Frankly not one of the best Be.gian Strong Ale (but Delirium Tremens still one of my favorite)

Best before February 2012. Let’s see how well this one aged. Brown-amber color with medium beige head. Dry fruits, chocolate, definitely old. Taste is juicy-sirupy, tart, heavy and with the typical vintage note. Thick texture, lots of carbonation. Complex, quite good. Very different than I have the normal one in my head. Aged quite fine.

5+ years old. Has an old taste, that is hard to describe. The taste is partly sour with a sufficient heavy malt body with a chocolately aftertaste. The sourness fit surprisingly well.

A very nice and easy drinking Belgian. This would be a great intro to Belgian beers for novice drinkers. Dark amber pour with a foam head, decent lacing. Flavours of toffee, brown sugar, yeast, spices, malts, etc with a mild bitterness at the end of the palate.

Brown/red color , big off-white head. Aroma of caramel , roasted malt and hint of spices. There are same notes in soft taste , maybe with some chocolate. Moderate hoppy and roasted bitterness in aftertaste.
