COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark brown to opaque with a medium but fading off-white head and an aroma of sweet malts, overripe fruits, cloves, toffee, banana and brown sugar. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with some bitter complecities in the finsih. Pretty nice.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy amber body with a massive off-white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of red apple, yeast, brown bread, treacle and raisins. Flavour of tangy apple, peppery spice and earth. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Hides the ABV well. Nice.

Kolor ciemne rubiny, lekko zmętnione, piękna beżowa piana, zdobi szkło no i ta butelka - prezencja mistrzowska.

Pours cloudy dark brown with high carbonation, which helps the head retain well. Medium-low body, and is quite bitter for the style. An overall good beer, but not fantastic for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visual: Pours dirty mocha brown with a very large lasting ultra foamy head, 3mm layer of retention, half sticky lacing, lots of active streams. Nose: unfiltered red apple juice, thick sweet barley malt. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: incoming tangy-sour, fizzy-bubbly Mid-palate: more fizzy-tingly, (lvl-7)-sweetness, (MAIN) woody red apple juice, soft tangy-barnyard sour, light cola/brown sugar roasted barley malt Finish: burpy, stealth hops, dark fruit/plum tangy with alcohol zing. Summary: Same fizzy-bubbly texture as the Noel and Tremens with the flavour being somewhere in between.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a huge, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, overripe fruit, yeast, coriander and alcohol. Sweet flavour of dark fruit, caramel and roasted malts, yeast, spice, ending with a dry, bitter, slightly tart, warming alcohol finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation.

Poured into a snifter. Cork states "2013" on it. 3.25 A: Opaque medium brown color. One and a half fingers of beige soda pop head that falls quickly and leaves just a few wisps of lacing. 3.75 S: Endless dark fruits - plum, fig, currant, apple. Brown sugar, earth, caramel. A hint of cocoa powder. 3.75 T: Yummy. Tobacco, raisin, brown sugar, earth. Fruits as mentioned above. Really mellow yet complex like good Belgian brews tend to be. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly spritzy. 3.75 D: Pretty good beer with some age on it. I think I prefer it fresh though. ★ 607 characters DavoleBomb, Sep 22, 2015

Not quite as good as I remember, being my first BSDA many years ago, but still pretty solid. Pours a beautiful dark brown with thick pillow of dense, lasting foam. Aroma is of dark fruit and spicy Belgian yeast, though somewhat obscured by aforementioned pillow. Flavors are nicely balance, and exceptionally smooth - raisin and candi sugar balanced nicely to a clean finish. No trace of alcohol, and even slightly thin mouthfeel.
