Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Robe brune dense, mousse peu persistante.

Z pełnią i słodyczą piwa współgra nuta ciemnego pieczywa.

Bottle. Black with a medium head. Smooth malty flavour and quite creamy. Left quite a lot of lacing. Well worth trying.

Una Belgian Strong Ale de color marrón turbio con una alta carbonatación. Su aroma es a caramelo y frutos secos (Nuez y pistacho). Su sabor es a ciruela y caramelo con estelas de toffee con un suave sabor a alcohol al final. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful clear ruby with a huge light tan head. Aroma of caramel, strawberries, dark bread, spice, malt, unrefined sugar. Tastes sweetish but not too sweet. Fairly light body for the ABV, warm spicy alcoholic finish, high carbonation. A dangerous sipper/gulper!

Nice 3/4" fluffy lite tan had that leaves behind good lacing... Hazy walnut brown... I may be the only one who doesn’t like the faux ceramic bottles; no matter how hard you try, I always get big blobs of yeast in the glass. Lightly spicy with dark dried fruit.. caramel lite cloves and lite raisins and dried sweet sour cherries. Big carbonation on a lite/medium body... flavor is exactly like the aroma except with a little musky and metallic notes.. not Delirium’s best beer for sure. I don’t know why, but I always want my BSDA’s to have a touch more body

Bottle 330ml. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a deep hazy ruby (almost black). Head is large, lightly tanned, foamy, and mostly lasting. Aroma is vinous with notes of lambrusco, dark plums, juniper berries, raisin bread, Belgian candy sugar, soil and a pinch of fruitcake spices. Flavour is a light (vinous) bitterness with notes of dark plums, port winegums, blackberries, very lightly toasted wholemeal bread, dried leaves (light) and some light earthy/wood notes in the finish. Full bodied with medium carbonation and a long finish. My favourite so far from the ‘Delirium’ series!

Tasty and strong one. I always preferred brown beers and this one will not make me change my mind. Taste is surprisingly fruity, rather refreshing and complex at the same time. Probably not the best beer to get if you’re looking for something to drink without anything to go along, but definitely a great choice for any occasion to enjoy a good meal or simply listening to good music while enjoying this great beer with some friends. Very cool and especially great on tap! APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!
