Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

I didn't find this beer to be all that interesting to me.Not a beer that I would drink all night that's for sure. It has a good alcohol content and a nice bottle to display in our bar!

The flavor is malty sweet. The color is dark amber with a small head. The flavor is sweet and malty with very strong yeast notes. A fine beer without being impressive.

Brown/ruby colored with a fizzy head that receded rapidly but continued bubbling on the surface. Aroma-some molasses and alcohol with a barnyardy sweat or urine note to it, some citrus maybe. Medium bodied and lively on the tongue with a musty caramel burnt sugar flavor that reminded me of Jamaican dark rum. Dryish finish with a bitter aftertaste that seemed a little off. Just so-so, kind of a hodgepodge.

Dark Brown. Strong, alcoholic aroma of chocolate, coffee, dark malts, dark fruits, strawberries and bourbon. Potent, poorly hidden alcohol, strong bourbon taste among other things like chocolate, coffee, herbs and dark fruits.

1 year from BB date. poured an avg brown with avg head. Hints of brown sugar and very mild spice. Dryish finish. Not bad but wasn’t impressed by any means. The Delirium NOEL rocks tho.

Much better than the ’Tremens’ offering, this one is sweet and sour and makes a good sippin’ brew.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2005 Pours a dark cloudy brown color with a large head. Smell is sweet and coffee like with alcohol mixed in. Tastes like alcohol and coffee with some toffee and spice thrown in for good measure. Hops are disguised until the end where the they are again covered by a lingering alcohol taste. And this alcohol aftertaste is my only complaint about this ale. In my opinion, this is a quality beer that you just want to have once in a while because its too strong for everyday consumption not to mention to expensive.
