Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Very sweet, strong fruity flavor with typical Belgian strong finish. Another delicious Belgian Ale!

Beautiful cherry amber color with a small beige head. The aroma was what really caught our attention - try swirling the contents of the glass at various intervals of the experience. Absolutely no bitterness - creamy mouthfeel...like drinking bananas foster in a glass.

Almost smells like a wild/sour ale with belgian yeast. Appearance is redwood dark (dark red, awesome). A sour finish, sweet start and belgian yeast slightest bit fruity, sour then sweet finish chocolate malts good but more cherry. Bubbly and dry on palate. Not quite as good as tremens but still great. Cant waite to try noel. Underrated

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Now THIS is what it’s all about. Great refreshing character, nice and light, with a sweetness that has hints of caramel & vanilla. An all-round great beer that hits the spot for me more than Tremens.

This one pours a dark brown with a ruby hue and a thick white head that slowly thins out. The aroma is wonderful and full of ripe fruit, candy and melon. The flavor is full of sweet fruits. Dried apricot, plum, orange marmalade and pineapple. There are sweet bready malts as well that mix with the fruit flavors to give this beer a fruit cake quality that has been laced with warming alcohol. Delirium Nocturnum is a delightful Belgian ale with a full body, average carbonation and a sweet fruity complex finish.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2014 Poured a dark caramel colour with a thick head that sadly subsided in under a few minutes. The aroma was sweet and inticesing with a smooth taste to follow. One of the best Belgians I have had the pleasure to taste. Strongly suggest drinking from a Belgian tulip or Brandy glass to focus on the head?s notes and mix the volatiles.
