COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2008 (Belgium) Pours a nice dark brown color with a dissipating tan head. Aroma is of dry fruits and dark malts. And the taste is spritzy with a malty, plum, citrus flavor. The finish is dry and you can taste a hint of the alcohol. Very enjoyable and recommended Also, the bottle is pretty damn cool too.

Lots of head on this beer. As soon as I popped the top, the off white head was at the top and slowly building out of the bottle. It had a light fruity taste and aroma. The alcohol content was very noticeable in the taste. It has a sweeter taste than the Tremens.

33cl bottle from Belgianshop.com. It poured a dark brown colour with a medium head. The aroma is fruity roasted malts. It is a dry and bitter flavour that tastes of bananas, malts and alcohol. It has a lingering aftertaste.

Huge billowy light brown head that fizzles away quickly, leaves no lacing on the concave edges of my snifter. Solid, dark amber brown color. Sweet malty aroma or fruits and corriander. Taste is more spicy than sweet with a malty aftertaste, and a light airyness to its alcoholic hints. Mouthfeel almost reminds me of a pilsener, but once it hits the back of the tongue you experience a lovely transition to Belgian goodness. Sweet on the lips. Delightful.

Well, I had the Tremens a few weeks ago, and I would say this is a step up from that. Its a lot darker, and a bit fruitier, with some sour notes. Very good mouthfeel, and an overall great brew. If I ever see this on sale again, I will definitely get it.Cheer

First rate, second bottle. Pours a deep red with a solid head that dissipates after a few moments but leaves a small ring. Aroma is of overripe fruit. Flavor is complex, sweet raisin almost. Lots of yeast flavor. Mouthfeel is present and stays with a nice warm alcohol touch. Excellent brew.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy brown-amber with a medium-thin off-white head. Big bubbles, some lacing. Smells sweet of raisins, figs, apples, caramel. Medium body, sharp and crisp. Flavor is quite fruity, a nice balance of sour than sweet. Almost like a sour ale or lambic in character. Mild hops flavor, hay and citrus.
