orville (140), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Jun 28, 2007 (bottle into a duvel tulip) Aroma of sweet malts, ethanol and apricots. Pours a cloudy mahogany with dirty white head. Fizzy with a shallow finish. Notes of ethanol and sugar cookies. Not too shabby.
Borresteijn (542), Amstelveen, Netherlands Sep 5, 2008 Bottle from De Bierkoning @ home, ABV 8,5%. Beautiful dark brown colour with a red hue, off white/tan head. Sharp aroma of sour dark fruits, like plums and some forest fruits, malts and brown sugar. Flavour is sweet-sour fruits, alcohol, malts and some brown sugar. Slightly bitter finish. Thick and prickly mouthfeel. REDBOSOX (42), Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, USA Aug 31, 2008 This is my favorite of the three Delirium beers. This one’s a nice honey brown color that smells and looks great. It has a big head so pour carefully. It’s nice and sweet with a fruity flavor that you can’t miss. At 9% ABV, you won’t feel it until you try to walk around. It goes down VERY smoothly! It’s one you must try! alraicercsu (75), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA Aug 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep amber/red color with a thickish off white head. Aroma of fruit, malt and yeast. Tastes initialy sweet and finishes a bit bitter.
laguerita (73), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 30, 2008 lots of fruity sweetness in the aroma, an interesting sweet/bitter finish. ok overall bw1982 (5), , Arizona, USA does not count Aug 29, 2008 Aroma: very subtle, almost too much so. Appearance: head comes out nice, but lacing doesn’t last, very dark honeyed brown color. Flavor: there are a lot of different things going on, there are dark fruits, some honey, quite a bit of bitterness, but something tasts slightly off. Palate: definitely hides the alcohol well, i believe with sweentess. style is thin, but overall a pretty good representation of the style.
