COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. BBE12/2011, rated on 20.09.2010
Aroma has roasted malt, some ripe fruits and brown sugar. Flavour has roasted notes, ripe fruits, some spices and hints of brown sugar. Quite straightforward, feels like dunkel or schwartzbier.

Bottle. Medium amber, murky, with orange highlights and a medium off white head. Sweet brown sugar, raisins, light banana, spicy finish. Quite estery and sweet, and a touch alcoholic. A bit disappointing actually.

W smaku figowa słodycz, kwaskowa jeżyna, wyraźna melanoidynowa słodowość i wiśniówka. Goryczka nieduża, pestkowo-pieprzowa, alkohol "nienachalny", rozgrzewający przełyk. Faktura piwa szorstka, popiołowa i dość treściwa, nagazowanie średnie. Całkiem sympatyczna interpretacja Belgian Strong Dark Ale, swego rodzaju blend Dubbla z Kriekiem, ciekawy i wart spróbowania.

Tap - huge foamy head, very dark Amber/brown color, big dark fruity yeasty esters, solid malt backbone, mildly spicy finish, not bad overall, but expected a little better to be honest ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Woody earthy and candy sugar aromas come from this hazy brown brew with coarse bubbles on top. Malty sweetness with a bit of wood and a slight metallic taste. It's not as full bodied as I woulda thought. It's smooth and earthy flavored with a bit of warming from the 8.5.

Muddy brown/ruby red with a yellowish tan head that dissipated to a very soft film and left fine lace. Aromas of tart apple, caramel, bandaids, sugar, earth and Belgian yeast. Nicely balanced flavor profile starts out slightly tart with green apple and light pear, supported by rich caramel and chocolate, finishing with a dry yeastiness and herbal notes. Spices and alcohol are always in the background. Medium body, lively carbonation, pillowy soft and creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. Very enjoyable.
